Managing Attorney - Energy Unit
Vikram Patel (he/him) is Managing Attorney of the Community Legal Services (CLS) Energy Unit. Prior to joining the Energy Unit, Vikram was a Divisional Supervising Attorney in the CLS Housing Unit, where he focused on representation related to Philadelphia’s Eviction Diversion Program.
Prior to his time at CLS, Vikram primarily focused on representing clients in matters related to intellectual property. Vikram also drafted and analyzed legislation as the Majority Caucus Chair Analyst for the New Mexico State Senate.
Outside of CLS, Vikram serves on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2022, he served as the Chair of the Public Interest Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. In 2021, the Philadelphia Bar Association recognized him as a Bar Star.
Vikram graduated from the University Of New Mexico School of Law in 2017 with the Dean’s Award. During that time, he also interned for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Vikram also received an MS in Physics from the University of Iowa in 2011 and a BS in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2006.
