Attorney Fellow
Lauren Davis is a 2021 graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was the Managing Editor for the Journal of Law and Social Change, Advocacy Chair of the Black Law Students Association, and served on the boards of both the National Lawyers Guild Tenant Power Project and the Walk-in Legal Assistance Clinic. She also interned at Philadelphia Legal Assistance’s Medical-Legal Partnership and the Legal Clinic for the Disabled. Prior to attending law school, she worked at CLS as Executive Assistant/ HR Coordinator and later as a paralegal in the Public Benefits Unit.
Lauren is sponsored by Community Legal Services as an Independence Foundation Fellow to increase access to safe, healthy housing for the most vulnerable Philadelphians, focusing primarily on affirmative litigation against problematic landlords who neglect to make necessary repairs, and engaging in community outreach efforts in partnership with tenants’ rights groups.
