Lelabari Giwa-Ojuri

Lelabari Giwa-Ojuri is an Equal Justice Works Fellow in the Family Advocacy Unit. Lelabari’s project focuses on using a community lawyering approach to stop intergenerational DHS involvement and family separation. She previously worked as a Court Representative for a diversion program for young people charged as adults in New York. She also worked as a counselor for middle school students engaged in a leadership development and education program in New York.
Lelabari received her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 2020 where she was a Toll Public Interest Scholar. She received her B.A. from Princeton University in 2014.
