Senior Attorney
Mr. Madrid is a Senior Attorney in the CLS Homeownership and Consumer Rights Unit where he focuses his practice on representing low-income homeowners facing foreclosure in state court and in Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Prior to coming to CLS, Mr. Madrid spent a decade as sole practitioner located in Center City Philadelphia. Mr. Madrid has also served as a federal law clerk both in United States District and Bankruptcy Courts, and as a commercial litigator for Pepper Hamilton LLP.
Mr. Madrid has served on the board of directors of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, a legal services organization matching volunteer attorneys and paralegals with indigent debtors in Philadelphia seeking legal advice and preparation of Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions. He has been regular speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other organizations on bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other consumer debt issues. His commitment to low-income residents of Philadelphia has been recognized by organizations such as the Philadelphia Bar Association and Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program.
Mr. Madrid received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law and was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1996.
