Senior Attorney
William Gibbons (he/him) started at CLS’ Law Center North Central in 1979 as a Managing Attorney. He then transferred to the Domestic Relations Unit and in 1981 co-founded the Dependency Unit, now known as the Family Advocacy Unit (FAU). He currently serves as a senior attorney in the FAU, working with the child welfare system to reunite families and keep them together. Before joining the CLS staff, Mr. Gibbons worked in the Arlen Specter District Attorney’s office as clerk and Assistant District Attorney from 1968 to 1974. He also served as Partner at Holloway & Gibbons, a private practice, from 1974 to 1978.
Mr. Gibbons graduated from Howard University Law School in 1968.
