Seth Lyons is a Supervising Attorney in the CLS Employment Unit. He began his work at CLS as a Berkeley Law Public Interest Fellow. Seth’s current work focuses on representing low-wage immigrant workers and reducing barriers to employer for people with criminal records through record clearing, individual representation, and systemic advocacy. He previously worked for three years as a paralegal in the Pennsylvania Farmworker Project of Philadelphia Legal Assistance.
Mr. Lyons received the 2018 Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network’s Outstanding Leadership Award as part of a team that advocated for Pennsylvania’s Clean Slate law. Seth has published several articles and papers, with a particular focus on record clearing for non-citizens.
Mr. Lyons received his J.D. from U.C., Berkeley, School of Law in 2016. He earned his B.A. from Cornell University in 2009, where he studied History, Latin American Studies, and Spanish.
