Sarah is a Staff Attorney in the Family Advocacy Unit where she defends and protects the rights of parents involved in dependency court matters.
Prior to joining CLS, Sarah worked as policy counsel for the Philadelphia Bar Association with a focus in public interest law. Sarah has also served as a staff attorney at Philadelphia Legal Assistance in the Family Law Unit, where she represented survivors of domestic violence in child custody, support, divorce, and protection from abuse matters. Sarah started her career as the inaugural Justice for Victims Fellow for the Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. In this role, Sarah served as the Public Defender in the Philadelphia Municipal Court diversion program Project Dawn Court, in addition to providing extensive training and technical assistance throughout the Commonwealth to members of the judiciary, law enforcement, and fellow legal aid providers on Pennsylvania’s comprehensive Human Trafficking law “Act 105 of 2014.”
Sarah earned her law degree from Villanova and her undergraduate degree in English from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
