CLS and PLA Elect Amber Racine to Their Boards of Directors

Community Legal Services (CLS) and Philadelphia Legal Assistance (PLA) have elected Amber Racine to their overlapping Boards of Directors.

Ms. Racine is an attorney at Raynes McCarty and a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Board of Governors. She previously co-chaired the Bar Association’s Women in the Profession Committee and is a past President of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, Inc.  Ms. Racine is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

“I am excited to increase my involvement with CLS & PLA, two organizations that do so much for so many!  As the poverty rate in Philadelphia rises, the work done by these two legal services organizations grows in both need and importance. I am grateful for the opportunity to aid in their shared mission,” said Ms. Racine.

Founded in 1966, CLS is Philadelphia’s oldest and largest nonprofit law firm devoted to ensuring the access to justice for low-income people.  PLA has been Philadelphia’s federally-funded civil legal services provider since 1996.
