CLS Housing Unit Managing Attorney Rasheedah Phillips and Staff Attorney Jenna Collins contributed to an amicus brief for the Massachusetts Supreme Court related to Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) protections for survivors of domestic violence in public housing.  CLS participated in two sections of the amicus brief: a section on the importance of being able to invoke VAWA protections multiple times, and a section on the need for flexibility in the documentation requirements to invoke those protections.  The amicus brief was filed with Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, National Housing Law Project, National Network to End Domestic Violence, and the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law.
