About Short and Long-Term Disabiity
Many individuals have Long or Short-term Disability policies through their employment, paid for either by the employer or through deductions taken through the workers’ paychecks. These policies are a type of insurance that may pay part of a worker’s salary if the worker is unable to work due to a non-work-related injury or illness. The policies that set forth entitlement to disability are very complicated and people are often denied disability without understanding why.
