Tests for the Coronavirus are covered by medical assistance (Medicaid).
The County Assistance Office is closed to the public, but they are continuing to accept and process applications for medical assistance. Please include on your application if you have a health emergency including COVID-19.Immigrants are also able to receive emergency medical assistance for treatment. WIC Offices Are Closed Until Further Notice, But You Can Still Get WIC.
Starting Monday, April 6, 2020 all Philadelphia WIC offices are closed to the public, but participants will receive eWIC cards by mail with three months of benefits at a time. No in-person appointments are required to enroll in WIC or to continue participating in WIC.
WIC is accepting new families! Many families are eligible for WIC! All pregnant people and families with children under the age of 5 who participate in SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid, or TANF (cash assistance) are automatically eligible, and other families with income up to 185% of the poverty line are eligible (you can find the income guidelines here: http://northwic.org/what-is-wic/guidelines/).

If you have experienced a loss or reduction in income, you may now qualify for public benefits.
Social Security offices are closed to the public, but payments will continue to go out each month.
Staff are still working on some time-sensitive issues such as urgent applications for benefits and fixing benefits interruptions. Social Security is stopping some actions, including overpayment collections and continuing disability reviews, until the COVID-19 crisis passes. You Can Still Receive Your TANF benefits.
Face-to-face interviews for TANF (cash assistance) are currently suspended and recipients will not be terminated or sanctioned if they are not able to continue their work requirements.
