Sara Lynch
Sara Lynch is an attorney in the SSI Unit at Community Legal Services. She represents children and adults with disabilities to access and maintain Social Security income support. Through outreach, training, and assistance, Sara and paralegal Silvana Marr-Madariaga collaborate with community groups citywide to ensure that people facing barriers to SSI get the aid they need.
Sara received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a Toll Public Interest Law Scholar, and her B.A. summa cum laude from Fordham University. Before joining CLS, Sara was a Penn Law fellow at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, where she advised families and youth on their education rights and challenged conditions of confinement for youth in juvenile placements across Pennsylvania. Prior to law school Sara was a Teach For America High School Spanish teacher in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Medellin, Colombia.
