Jessa Boehner is a Special Project Coordinator in CLS’ Employment Unit. She helps to manage the unit’s Clean Slate Screening Program (CSSP), which to date has screened thousands of Pennsylvanians for eligibility for criminal record sealing under Pennsylvania’s new Clean Slate Law. In this capacity she develops systems to streamline the screening and notification process, provides follow-up communication with clients individually and through e-mail blasts, plans community outreach events, coordinates Pro Bono volunteers, and helps to identify and connect with individuals who are good candidates for advocacy, as well as providing administrative support to the unit. Previously, she worked to advocate for more just trade laws at Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch, and taught ESL at Casablanca American School in Casablanca, Morocco.
